We are proud to announce that we will be representatives for Fluid Automation, Inc, (FAI) in the New England states as well as all of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Also joining us is Frank Barbera, who is our new Sales/Product Manager for our Fluid Handling and Dispensing Products and will be working closely with FAI and Graco.

What IS LSR, you ask? LSR is the process of metering and mixing 2 part silicone liquid materials and injecting the activated/crosslinked mixture into a mold. While this technology has been around since the late 1970s, it has become more popular in recent years, as it is ideal for high precision and high production parts as creates minimal waste. It is used in low durometer overmolding details, medical products, infant products, automative products and seals and gaskets. The process typically involves 2 components silicones, with one material containing a platinum based curative. The materials are usually pumped at high pressures from 55 gallon drums and metered at a 1:1 or 10:1 ratio to a mix head. The mix head uses dynamic or static mixing technology to thoroughly blend the two materials and then inject it into the mold. The mold is heated, thereby accelerating the vulcanization process, leaving you with a fully cured completed part.
